Manchin said he wouldn't vote for her, so it ended her candidacy. She didn't like coal and said so publicly.

Why don't you think that she is competent enough and wanted enough to not have to put up with this headache and that the US lost a good leader?

I am not telling you that she is competent, clean, or whatever. I don't know zip about her. I am just highlighting how biased your first reactions are.

PS People who have some big skeletons to hide don't bother accepting the nomination in the first place because they know their history will be dug up.

Not likely "dirt" as much as the fact that too many believed (including Manchin) she would support factoring in the economic risks of climate change when making Fed policy decisions.


Energy is one of THE hot button targets, so she didn't have much of a chance from jump.
