Without NATO membership, Zelensky said Ukraine needs "new formats of interaction with the West and separate security guarantees."
Zelensky is acting like a responsible leader would. He wants to get some form of guarantee that Ukraine is safe from future attacks, assuming he and Ukraine even make it out of this FUBAR situation in one piece.

Whether that comes in the form of NATO membership or some separate treaty that is enforceable by outside powers, I don't think he gives a Brandon anymore.
