You can see the bottom column? Worst public image of Putin was in Poland, almost the same as western Ukraine.
Are ethnic Russians discriminated against in Ukraine? You bet! 46% of “Ukrainian” population and not a single school in Russian language, Russian not recognized as a State official language, Donbas shot at for 8 years.
Historically Russian speaking lands including the Crimea were part of Russia. If you want to be treated as a civilized nation, be civilized yourself! Like the Brits or the Canadians. Scotland or Quebec wants out? A referendum. French a second language in Canada despite Quebec being a minority, 1 out of 10 provinces is French yet all Canadians get documents in 2 official languages.
That part of the world (FSU) does not know how to separate without violence. Like I said, Russian is spoken in the homes of roughly half of the population of Ukraine, and it is not an official language, and the Russian speakers are discriminated against. Try a referendum, and 100% will choose to be a part of Russia.

And that’s why Europe looks at Russia as savages. It’s been a while since guns not votes made decisions there. I think this is like neighborhoods in the US: there are ones where you get shot, their incomes tend to be below poverty level. There are others where you don’t lock the door. In poor countries guns make decisions, in rich countries votes do. And then when entire country descends into poverty, you get revolutions.
I guess if we have world hunger like in 1930-s, we can expect ww3?
