Please. Everyone has their biases, including you and I. Let’s try to be factual, not personal.

Disclosure: I am a liberal, even a radical, in some ways. I was arrested, chaining myself to the front gate of a nuclear plant, at age 19. For over 10 years, beginning in 2002, I held a public peace vigil. I have good friends who decorate their house with posters of Che Guevara.

But I still value and respect Lee’s point of view. And I agree with much of it. Conservatives are often correct.

My point was just that PBS is a liberal news source, I wasn't blaming anyone. I read, listen and watch news programs from all sides but I also take into account their bias.
I used to listen to Voice of America and Radio Moscow on the short wave radio on the B-52s while I worked on them. That's where I honed my skills in finding the middle. Radio Moscow was often the truth on many international incidents and VOA was blatantly wrong and pure propaganda.
As you might have figured out from my other posts about my land, I am an environmental minded person, somewhat of a tree hugger, I believe we do contribute to global warming HOWEVER, not to the crisis levels liberals are screaming about and I don't think we need to go overboard on environmental issues.
There's a balance to everything, a middle ground on news and bits of truth (and falsehoods) to both sides of news sources.
I especially like watching the PBS show Nature but I get a kick out of every program their sticking a global warming plug in. On shows about geology etc, they will sit there with a straight face and talk about how global temperatures have skyrocketed and dipped into ice ages over and over long before man walked the earth but then scream we are all doomed in a couple years.
I believe we are contributing to warming but we are also finishing a solar up cycle and nearing a turn to a down cycle. I also don't think technology is ready for the substitution of oil. We are getting closer to nuclear options that are safer, more efficient and solar is improving. Right now, "green energy" requires large strip mining, dumping of hazardous waste and inefficiency. All it is is a way to push our pollution and environmental damage to third world countries so we don't have to look at it and pat ourselves on the back.
I think many hard core conservatives are as loony as liberals. My problem with liberals is they are repeating most of the same mistakes that destroyed every previous great empire. They also have short attention spans jumping from one cause to another, pushing knee jerk fixes that tend to boomerang and create more problems than they solved. They also seem to impose policies on others but rationalize not doing things themselves.
Conservatives seem more long term planners, strategic vs tactical. Probably more corrupt, crony guarded but more predictable and easy to predict. Example, Trump's tax cut. You knew there had to be a catch that helped him and screwed the little guy. Turns out the tax cuts fade away except for real estate. At least you can invest to take advantage of it with him. LOL
I need to get back to work. I finally got my brush pile to light so need to keep feeding it and get rid of all these trunks that have been piling up.
