Sorry Jason. SFAM's not going to get bought for 7.2B or 2.7B. The article you saw was a correction of an earlier release which featured SFAM in the first couple of paragraphs. The last couple of paragraphs, specifically the 7th where the correction was being made, concerned Cendant's bid for American Banker's Insurance. Cendant has a 2.7B bid for ABI, it was earlier reported as a 7.2B bid. Hey it would have been nice though, SFAM's market cap is less than 400MM; therefore a 2.7M would be a 700% increase to SFAM's stock price. If that would have been the dcase, I'd be on vacation for the rest of the year.
