It might be because he has a constant stream of dividends and he wants to keep his money working, Sounds like a smart strategy to me.

Re: Is there a reason for buying daily?

Yes, several reasons actually. There is a large amount of cash waiting to go to work. There is over $20K per month coming in every month in dividends, all waiting to go to work as well.

The market was in a correction and I didn't know in advance where it might bottom out so I decided to buy smaller lots than usual and average down into that market low. Additionally, from a valuation point of view, I had some positions I had to wait on until the price dropped to my price point.

We also just went through earnings season and a number of companies lowered expectations going forward. I adjusted for that.

Higher interest rates has been confirmed with a hike announced this week.

Then there was a change in goals for this year. With the market in a correction, capital preservation went to the forefront, adding another dimension to the adjustments made.

Risk off also meant to trim back on the holdings using a high level of margin, or companies with heavy debt loads. In a bull market these things can often be ignored, but in a bear market they can come back to haunt you.

All of these reasons required portfolio adjustments and is why there has been more activity than usual.

It's one thing to buy, hold and forget, but with this portfolio it is buy and monitor and then adjust accordingly based on the condition of the market.
