I was talking to Rebel Steve about getting a bunch of us to show up at the annual meeting this year. I know Edible has been there a couple of years in a row and thats where I met him and Parlay last year. We are thinking maybe we can get enough of us to go and form a block there to get our opinions voiced as stockholders. I am planning to go. Last Year it was the third Thursday in May. So you
busy stockholders flag that time out in your planners and attend. I will keep the list of who is coming and we can all meet at Rain MOA the night before. So email me if you are planning to come. As soon as we hear the date we can purchase our flights. I think last year it came out around a month in advance.

Jupe, here's a nice report from MGM that sounds promising:

A long time RAIN shareholder, I only post after I have been to one of the newer restaurants and I had the opportunity to visit the RAIN at MGMs in Vegas last Saturday. Calling ahead at 11:30 produced a notice of a 2 hour wait and entering the adventure at approximately 1:40 PM (using my VIP pass, of course- it took 2 minutes to be seated) I was informed the wait was about 75 minutes at that time.

I chose to sit at the mushroom bar, rather than a table, to have more access to what the staff/supervisory personnel were discussing and in order to visit with more of them myself. Service was prompt, friendly, and unhurried even though the food was being served by the staff at a speedy pace. I walked around the restaurant and noticed that in most instances when returning back to the bar, the tables were being quickly refilled as soon as they were
cleaned. A visit to the retail store indicated brisk activity there with an average of 3-4 customers waiting to check out clothing, etc at the registers. My guess is that there were approximately 50+ people in this section.

My lunch was tasty and by the time I had been served and finished my lunch. I was ready to visit with several more employees (having questioned some of the wait staff,etc)....preferably superviory personnel. I was able to talk extensively with 2 of them - who had a strong background in theme restaurants and openings.

While the Cafe is open at 7 AM for breakfast....it is not full...Vegas isn't going to produce those types of lines at that time even with a family. But it is full usually before 9AM and the menu there is being modified for the new Disney location this spring - they are working out the kinks and adding some new items to the menu. The lines start before 10:30 usually except on Wednesdays. These supervisors are also training more people who will go
out to open the next 2-3 restaurants with others selected from some other locations. They are ALL looking forward to the Disney opening - and they indicated they have stock and believe it to be worth a lot in the near future. Knowing I was a stockholder, I asked them to compare their experiences here withthe other Rains they had worked at before - both of them were excited and optimistic about the one at MGM and about the opportunities with the
company, who they thought would be the new CEO, the stock price rebounding, etc etc. In fact they were so optimistic, that it MORE than reaffirmed my feelings towards thje concept and the company.
Like all good things, this is worth waiting for and of course, IBRO- applies to me as well. I have to be optimistic with RAIN it has soooo much going for it........I am also optimistic about my daughters chances at the MISS USA Pageant next month, but time will tell. Good fortune to all.....keeping it simple
