OBV = On-Balance Volume This compares the volume on weeks where the stock closes higher to weeks where it closes lower. It's an early-warning type of indicator in the face of no price movement. My AIQ chart shows OBV at 1026 on May 14, 1996 (when IDX closed at $19) and 1020 on Feb 11, 1997 (when it closed at $13). As of Friday, the number was over 1033. This leads me to guess that buying has intensified over the last year. Happily Long IDX, Duke ps. Another possible use for biometrics. In Kansas City, a newborn was kidnapped from the hospital.
