SC doesn't read Q+, Nancy. He meant via automatically updated MStk files.

Nancy...All other charting programs require conversion of Q+ data, the usual route is to use the Q+ MetaStock Output module which is very easy and can be set to update automatically. All SC #'s can use MetaStock data format. In SC3 you will not detect any difference in the chart handling. You will develop different file managing techniques.

Actually, you will find the Q+ ASCII style security lists to be a big improvement over trying to push the SC downloader around. Whole lists of stocks from scans, your typing, Brian's IBD 70/70 list, and on, can be simply cut and paste. Hand picking stocks one at a time from the downloader for a Workspace or Window will be a thing of the past.

Yes, I am using SC4 with Q+ ? Works the same. Liam and John Sugas have both used SC3 with it. While you make your mind up you can use both data inputs interchangeably in SC.

Nancy, I believe the SuperCharts manual will explain that MetaStock data format is an industry standard that most TA software supports. Therefore, most data providers supply you with conversion software to create the MetaStock directory structure. And most TA software provides the ability to read MetaStock structure.

And once your data is in MetaStock format most all software can read it.

MetaStock, being one of the oldest around, is the dominant standard.
