TED--What do you think, gang? Pretty good, huh? Hmmmm. As your lead underwriter, bucko, I begin to wonder whether it'll be good enough Too many naps, or too few? Check this out:Veronex Becomes IBM Solution Provider Veronex I/NOVA Tool Set Now Listed as a Year 2000 Ready Tool on IBM Web Site IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 13, 1998--The board of directors of Veronex Technologies Inc. (OTC/BB:VXTK - news) Friday announced that its I/NOVA Tool Set has been accepted by IBM as a Year 2000 Ready Vendor Tool. Veronex's I/NOVA Tool Set is now listed on the IBM Web site under Solutions-Year 2000. This new arrangement with IBM allows all of IBM customers to have access to the I/NOVA Tool Set via the IBM Web site. To view the I/NOVA offer on the IBM Web site, simply go to IBM's home page at ibm.com and select ''Solutions.'' Once at the Solutions page, select Year 2000 (''Y2k'') and then select search and type in either Veronex or I/NOVA. The new relationship with IBM will allow Veronex to expose its I/NOVA toolset technology to all interested IBM computer owners. Current estimates are that there are in excess of 2 million IBM main frame computers in service, which may be affected by the Y2k problem. Current estimates for repairing the Y2k problem now exceed $1 trillion. ''The need for a cost effective solution to the century date change is what has caused legacy software systems to be trapped into the Y2k problem,'' stated Thomas Price, president of Veronex. ''When I began to design the I/NOVA concept nine years ago, the Y2k problem was known to computer professionals, but there was not a software tool capable of delivering a year 2000 solution in a cost effective manner. The I/NOVA DataCentric Analyzer is the only Y2k solution tool that I know of which has the capability to be a complete, automated Y2k solution tool and to be able to save the users money. ''The I/NOVA DataCentric Analyzer can standardize source code definition, reduce source code size by removing redundancies and repair the Y2k problem. This unique ability of the I/NOVA DataCentric Analyzer offers not only a solution to the Y2k problem, but a return on the investment to make these critical repairs to legacy source code systems.'' You have to admit taht tihs is a truly amazing document. I suggest we offer their PR Person a considerable number of pre-IPO shares as an enticement to come work for us. I am especially impressed by: "This new arrangement with IBM...", and "The new relationship with IBM..." I also like: "''When I began to design the I/NOVA concept nine years ago, the Y2k problem was known to computer professionals, but there was not a software tool capable of delivering a year 2000 solution in a cost effective manner". Funny, but I thought it started out as a program for accounting and auditing, but then I'm not a techie, so maybe I don't understand the hard stuff. And TIHS!!: "This unique ability of the I/NOVA DataCentric Analyzer offers not only a solution to the Y2k problem, but a return on the investment to make these critical repairs to legacy source code systems." Hey, TED, we're not talking $19.95 a month here, baby, we're talking PROFIT! So guys, get with it... Janice (despairingly) S&L
