I ask for prayers for the great justice Clarence Thomas. He is the greatest current member of the court, a leader, a scholar, a patriot, and as decent a human being as the court has ever seen.

Shep,
Who else but uber-christians would ask others to pray for people???
You don't have to be an "uber-Christian" to pray for people, or to ask others for prayers.

If you don't believe prayer works, that's fine. Just treat them as "positive thoughts."

Isn't that why the phrase "thoughts and prayers" was coined in the first place?
