Re: KGO radio

Kirk, I'm with you, I think KGO should listen to what its audience thinks. I am, however, interested in what logic would cause KGO to drop moneytalk after getting complaints. Anyone out there in the radio business that can explain the thinking??

BTW, a big (50,000 watt) radio station in Sacramento (KFBK-1530) , has dropped its live broadcast of MoneyTalk, in favor of a locally produced financial show. Of course, I don't listen to it, but it did cause me to search for another station. 8^)

We'll just have to get more creative to get our weekly fix, huh.

They might lose the Niners, but the only way they can lose Moneytalk (at least in the near future) would be if they drop it because some listeners complained about the station chopping up the show in order to include more commercials!

If they did it, then I really can't think of a better illustration of "shooting oneself in the foot".

Dipy.

This entire issue is actually very basic. If you wish to
have KGO drop Moneytalk, just keep telling them you have
problems with the way they are doing this that or whatever.
They will drop Moneytalk and your problem will be solved.
Also, hundreds of thousands of Northern California listeners
will lose access to Moneytalk. You can get them to drop the
show if you really ride them hard.
