Nice overview of Russian and USSR history - up to the point when he comes to the current situation. Russia is authoritarian - but communism migrated West long ago. Russia would never accept globalist ideas like “You will own nothing - and will be happy”. It’s a case of been there, done that. As nato helps unite as many countries as possible, Russia is in the way. Ukraine's nato membership would make Russia vulnerable - while moving the edge of the Brave New World as far East as possible. You can’t beat them? Keep them in the far corner.
