I was in Athens decades ago. Doesn’t seem like the city changed all that much.

Alex makes a good video. Likable guy.

Good discussion of Putin’s speech. It’s a call to separate from the West. Says, Russia will not confiscate the businesses that left the country due to sanctions — because “we do not believe in stealing”. This speech will likely have consequences. Very anti-globalist. (So - from this day on - to say something against Schwab and company will be interpreted as repeating Putin’s talking points. You read this here first).

Edit — calls upon rich Russians and oligarchs to repatriate their assets and invest them home - where their investments will be safe.

I like what Alex said about Russian troops being under orders NOT to enter the cities (except Mariupol). I guess I like it because it fits my own thinking about the cities being too costly (and bloody) to capture - while having no real political value (since it’s all about pressuring for concessions - like no nato, etc).
