Is it the latest Grisham where the first chapter was posted? I read it not online but in a newspaper ad. Anyway, having the first chapter available on line would give a lot more touchy feely kind of experience. There is a site that does this for technical books, I seem to recall. Obviously this sort of change would require cooperation by the copyright holders, and so is just starting to get underway now. Clearly, if it helps sales of the first few titles, it will be a trend that will expand and could aid the online booksellers.

Is this enough?

You make alot of good points that I agree with. I too think Amazon.com won't last. How long before the eventual fall? Time will tell. I'm guessing before Sept 98. What's your guestimate?
