One of the biggest obstacles to creating a Twitter alternative is the upstream service providers. You can't host with Amazon or another datacenter/hosting provider or a backbone provider that will push terms of service down your throat or get kicked off the service. That's 99% of it. The other 1% is building out a scalable service that won't choke with scaling user base.

If he were serious, he would just buy/take over TWT (which might be what he is thinking) or FB and reboot it rather than reinvent the wheel. That (IMO) is why we (Con's) will never have a representative platform. From the get-go it would be under attack, cancel culture, and "forever adjusting" to criticism - Truth Social. Just grab an existing platform and change the rules...instantaneous. F-you to those who are offended - everything is open for discussion and fair game....sorry for your feelings Snowflakes.
