Chip,

Thanks for the reply.

I remain Happy, but I suspect we are due for a sharp downturn. Soon? I wish I knew. Will there be a "blow-off" top first? If I knew there would be, I would have bought calls instead of puts !!! : ' (

Anyway, Warren Buffett apparently stated awhile back that stock prices were too high and he would not invest in his fund at this time, nor would he recommend it to anyone else. His large silver purchase might be viewed as a giant put option on the rest of his fund? Am I wrong?

Bill Gates and the CFO of MSFT stated a few months ago that MSFT was not worth the current $130 price tag. It almost touched $160 last week. Is MSFT worth 25% more than it was a few months ago? If Win98 gets delayed over these legal matters (I have no idea what the chances of this are, but I suspect that they are nonzero.), will the stock continue to rise?

I think that the market is pretending that Good Times are Here Again and that investors are hoping that Good Times are Here Again, but I think that party may be over soon and people may start going home. I am new at this whole thing, so these are just my novice opinions shaped by what I've read on SI and other places.

I think the market wants to move higher (The recent new highs on several indexes were impressive.), but I think it must move lower. I think that these are very uncertain times in the market and it could make a BIG move very swiftly in EITHER direction. Scary, but not boring !!! : ' )

Comments anyone?

Happy
