Nickel production up 26% in January from a year ago kitco.com Michael McCrae Tuesday March 22, 2022 16:18 (Kitco News) - Nickel mine production jumped 26% year-on-year in January to 2.7Mtpa, according to the International Nickel Study Group which published results this week. Month-on-month, production was mostly flat, down about 1%. Productions gains came from Indonesia (+39% y/y to 1.2Mtpa), New Caledonia (+148% y/y to 149ktpa), Russia (+19% y/y to 218ktpa), and the Philippines (+2% y/y to 177ktpa), while production from China remained flat (98ktpa), according to BMO which reported on the INSG findings.
