I've been interested in cable modems personally for the past several months since my rural summer cottage in Upper Peninsula of Michigan (as far as you can go UP North as we say) is served by Bresnan Cable, who has installed the fastest cable internet system available. It's one of those situations where the remoteness of the areas has lead to a rural market which has been able to allow a cable companies to bring "cutting edge technology" to the region since the onset of cable TV in the late 1950's.

I checked on the type of modems they are using and found that they are installing Lancity modems which supplies Bay Networks their existing modems. I also found a list of cable modem vendors at the Cable Data Com News website:

I'm curious to know if BAY Networks is using CRUS to catch-up with the competition who may have leapfrogged them recently. Anyone know anything about this technology. It may be a small part of CRUS puzzle but it is a growing market and I want keep on top of it since I'll have the service in 1-2 months in Mich.
