I think they would report full qtr based on AMD timing.

They also typically will restate prior earnings as merged, so that the compares QoQ and YoY are correct.

Good point! That we now have Xilinx's results in the mix completely slipped my mind. I propose that the EPS Contest for this quarter only includes the old AMD part of the business, relative to their given outlook last quarter, and directly comparable to numbers provided by Zacks, which do not yet include Xilinx in their estimates.

PS. With the substantial acquisition of Pensando, the leadership at AMD seems to have high confidence about how things are going, and/or the plan ahead. This move is apparently aiming very purposefully to expand AMD's success in HPC and cloud to the on-premise enterprise data centres.

I am guessing there will be some guidance as to how the earnings will be presented.

There may be 3 sets of numbers, AMD, Xilinx and combined.
