I agree, but I'd also add that I've always marveled at the stress level of folks who spend so much time focused on the latest health fad -- cleansing, fasting, whatever exercise fad is the latest, smoothies, and on and on. Some of the most miserable people I know look like they need a good cheesburger and fries once a week, and spend lots of conversation time talking about silly stuff in an effort to what?...live 10 more years in a nursing home, I guess.

So true. Eat as simple as possible. When you can, make your own food. Avoid chemicals. Michael Pollan gave good advice-
"Eat food. Not too much. Mostly plants." He says that we should make healthy food more of a priority, even if it means spending more time and money, or get used to chronic disease.

I'd rather spend the time cooking and prepping and growing good food than spend time at the doctor's.
