The burgers aren't really all that bad. Everything else is MUCH worse.

I guess it helps if you enjoy gardening and cooking. It's entertainment AND food to me. I just love finding a new cheese or growing a new variety of plant. I just started growing purple radishes and they are fabulous! They get huge and they are mild. Maybe a new favorite- though I still love watermelon radishes, which I also grow.

This morning we are having Italian black rice ramen with radish greens for breakfast. I'm cooking the black rice in the rice cooker before I add it to the ramen. Lunch will be whole wheat pasta with home made pasta sauce. For dinner I'm making an olive oil and rosemary bread to go with a big salad- fresh from the garden, all our own plants- topped with tuna.

But there will be sweets :-) I plan on making Italian ricotta cookies today. The ricotta really boosts the protein in the cookie and slows the sugar spike- just as the peanuts in peanut butter cookies do. Delicious and sort of healthy- for desserts.
