Help re: Boxing a short
I tried to box a short in ADI on Friday. However, my covering long position was applied against my short to eliminate my position. I was informed by my broker that it is not permissible to cary a boxed position. My broker is Action Direct (Royal Bank) in Canada. Has anyone else had this problem? Is this just a Canadian rule or is it specific to Action Direct only?

Subject: ALTIF

Please direct me to the company website, as I can't find the URL.

This does indeed sound very suspicious, and it may not be long before the jig is up.

Michail--I checked ALTIF on Daily Stocks.
They show 5 institutions holding shares but 0 shares being held by institutions (I wonder if any variations of that trick would work with the IRS). I am wondering about this discrepancy. Daily Stocks may gather their information on this from separate sources, possibly the company claimed to them to have institutional owners while the NASDAQ reported no shares being held.
They do have the highest PSR I have ever seen at 2285, beating CyberCash the previous high. I agree there is something wrong here and that usually means a short would be profitable.
All the Best
