There is so much demand waiting to happen, under contract, so to speak. Raising rates a few basis points is not going to put much of a dent. Oh, it'll affect new business, you say? Where's 2 years of pent up demand going? Rates too high for home mortgages, so RE prices are going to come down. Really? Who' s going to sell and lose historically low rate financing/refinancing? Boomers gonna dump their properties...really? Boomers are living in their homes at record numbers and later than previous generations. Also, bonus question, where you going to put 2 million newly invited illegal immigrants? Housing inventory is going to continue to shrink and prices are going to slow possibly, but not drop. Glad I'm not a FED governor.
