Have you asked Russians? *No one thinks a conquest of Russia is underway.* It's possible that what Russians think is different from what no one thinks. Mind reading is very popular in the Euroserf/Yank worlds = "Putin wants to take over Europe again. If he wins in Ukraine, then he'll go for Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Czech, Slovakia, Hungary, East Germany, Bulgaria, Romania .. . Arrgghhh he's wanting to do the domino theory". Mind reading is tough enough even if the person says what they are thinking, loudly, ten times, and what they say matches all known facts. I try to get people to understand my thinking but not only can they not mind read, they can't even understand actual words. I think USA intends conquest of Russia, so you are already wrong. I bet I'm not the only one That has been the plan for decades, going back at least to Zbig telling Carter, "Let's give them their own Vietnam " regarding Afghanistan in 1979/1980 = oops a daisy = backing Osama bin Laden and mujahideen worked out badly at the Twin Towers and a lot more besides. I preferred Gorby to mujahideen but USA had gone postal long before the current conquest attempt, mistakenly thinking Gorby and Russia were the enemy. The gloating when USSR self-destructed and victory dancing, PNAC and NATO expansion showed the trend. Russians got the message, loud and clear, good and hard. It would not be crazy for Russia to go nuclear. It would be sensible. I would like them to cut to the chase and do it now, to see whether the insane violent crazy Yanks really want to experience the end of the world. I think it would stop the fighting fast. Saving many lives. Same as when USA started and won the first nuclear war. It persuaded Japan to stop fighting straight away, thereby saving millions. Putin should demand ceasefire immediately, or nuclear escalation to MAD begins now. Require acceptance of Crimea being Russian, as for centuries, and elections to be held in Donetsk and Luhansk for independence. You do like democracy don't you? Let's do your thought experiment. Russia ignores any Azovs in Poland, East Germany, Italy etc. That was easy. Russia is fully occupied holding the line. They have no capacity or wish to go building Empire. That's so 19th century. Who told you Putin thought Western Ukrainians would welcome Russian tanks? You should get more reliable advisors, such as me. Some people apparently only understand force, guns, bombs, not explanation, discussion, reasoning. Putin certainly tried for a couple of decades. He was not naive so prepared for defence given the Russia Russia Russia foaming at the mouth lunacy. The force, (by Nuland and gang), started in 2013/2014 and Russia quickly responded. Good idea. I guess the nuclear war will start with demonstration and scale up to test resolve, hopefully without going full MAD. But since Americans are mad, I guess that's how they'll go. It would be much better to do as I say. Unless you like being fried alive.
