You said, "The bull market is never over, there are only longer periods of pull backs and resets..."
So true, there has never been a decline that did not end with a recovery to all-time highs. All long term index charts show a beginning in the lower left and end in the upper right.

However, Longer periods of pull backs and resets are called bear markets.
The recent advance in the bull market is over and we are now in a bear market that will last maybe three years and reduce the S&P by a little over 50%. I would say it qualifies as a bear market.
Of course, there are a lot of folks who think I am nuts. Although I think that number will decrease with time.
