Not comparable at all. LNG = bleve = boiling liquid expanding vapour explosion.

Mass of LNG on a ship is at most about 100,000 tons = 100 kilotons. A few are a bit bigger, many smaller.

Atomic bombs (manly sized, not little tactical ones) are up to 50 megatons. Good city removers are around 1 megaton = 10x as big as a large LNG carrier. But a bleve doesn't give a high intensity blast.

Hiroshima bomb was only about 15 kilotons. So I wouldn’t want to be too close to an LNG bleve.

Right now, on TV3, David Parker of Labour government and presenter Ryan, and Nicola Willis of Nationsl opposition are casually discussing sending weapons and support to Ukraine to torture and kill Russian prisoners and any other purpose Zelensky and gangsters choose.

Putin could quite reasonably obliterate New Zealand. Arming gangsters to attack is as good as pulling the trigger.

New Zealand should be stopping the war, not joining in. USA/Nuland and gang started it.

The solution is obvious, reasonable and good for all other than murderous megalomaniacs, Lockheed Martin, and other money makers like Hunter Biden and DementiaJoe10%.

Do we really want the end of the world for Hunter's cocaine, cash, computer obscenities, sex and self obsession?

Looks as though I'd better move far from town, dig a bunker and go full prepper. Aotearoa-Zimbabwe has joined the gang and deserves the consequences. The smug casual arrogance is disgusting.

Stupid, ignorant Kiwis virtue signaling flat out just a couple of years ago over WWI, = Lest We Forget, Never Again, War to End War, blah blah blah. Helen Clark kleptocrat in UN which was formed to avoid war, not to be a communist wealth confiscate. Hopeless.

there were concerns that if there is an explosion on a sip carrying LNG - the force may be tremendous.
Actually the explosive risk of LNG is minimal. LNG is only explosive in a fairly narrow air/gas ratio, outside that it just flares. In the late 70's the Coast Guard did extensive tests to determine safety before permitting. I saw video of one where they fired artillery at a LNG tank the size of a rail car. Ruptured the tank and made a huge flame, but no real explosive shock wave.
