As I was browsing tonight I came upon the following interview with the head honcho at EGLS. You may not have seen it so I thought I would post it because my guess is that AMAT will have some kind of similar story tomorrow.

infobeat.com

The message is basically that the next 6 months are going to be a little slow, but after that things should be "much" better. If that is the message tomorrow, I think the market will respond positively. Six months is not that long a time.

Kent, I am with you all the way. I believe that in the long term the future is very bright. I am just concerned about more bad news that causes the market to go down appreciably in the short term, ie, paying too much for a stock if a person buys now. Another potential problem is a long wait for this downturn to recover when a person could have had his investment money better employed elsewhere.

I have my fingers crossed that AMAT will say this Asia situation is a rather minor happening and it won't take long (6 months or less) to straighten out.

Well, we're about to find out!!!

Regards,

Don W.
