Nicely put! My problem is that some of the 'hardware' that I use is only 'supported' at the MSFT (namely W95, or W3.1) levels! I am sure that if I run 'nothing but the idle loop', the computer 'hopefully' doesn't 'meltdown'! Although, I have a funny story! When I am running Workstation (I think that's the one) with a screen saver on, and leave for a 'long time', I will return to find a message on the screen that I am running 'out' of memory! Now let's see, I'm running 'screen saver' (thats all), have a Pentium 166 with 64Meg Ram and a swap area of 127Meg! Yeah! Otta' memory! Where did it go? ( What other operating system can do this? ) Just what are the choices?

Thoughts,

Ken
