J., nothing what you say justifies your absolutely unacceptable way of posing the issue. To blame today’s Russians (and their families??) for the crime of the Stalinist terror is as wrong as blaming today's German people for the crimes of the German Nazis. Who, btw, made a similar decision — that to be Jewish was a crime punishable by death. Nazis all over Europe were happy to help enforcing those laws. Much more recently, the tribe of Hutus decided that the tribe of Tutsis did not deserve to live. They took their machetes - and the country was flowing with blood. That’s what the pretty Ukrainian lady did on the video I posted yesterday - she listed grievances going back for hundreds of years - and then, collected her “bloody harvest” - presumably on screen, she slit the throat of a prisoner. Maybe it was just bad cinema, and she didn’t murder the man - but someone did. Clearly, he died for real. Long story short - all this racist bullshit about evil peoples who need to be outlawed - is unacceptable. Deal with reality - not with sick prejudices. In case you haven’t noticed, war is war. à la guerre comme à la guerre. People lose their lives. The way to stop wars is either decisive military victory - or negotiation. Pronouncing one of the warring nations less than human and genetically evil - is pouring oil into the fire. I’m on this thread for over 20 years, and such garbage was never allowed here.
