I think the speculations about Russia wanting to restore the USSR or the Tsar’s Empire are nonsense.

There's no need for special military operations in Finland if it loads up with USA USA USA Yank tanks. Same as in Norway where Yank tanks have practised ready to go = Yank Tanks to Murmansk.

Same along the NATO border. As soon as something such as a foot, stone , bullet, shell, tank or aircraft crosses the border, Russia just needs to send a hypersonic megaton to a British aircraft carrier after phoning Stoltenberg Boris and Biden to tell them impact is just 1 minute away and any further incursions will be met the same way.

"If you escalate in retaliation we will go up an order of magnitude = ask your mathematicians what is an order of magnitude".

PS... I suppose a few kilotons should also be landed just over the Finnish border at the point of entry to ensure the message is received loud and clear. As Putin and Lavrov have pointed out their counterparts have a hearing deficit. I have noticed reading comprehension deficits right here in SI. Americans seem to be all transmit, no receive. A wild generalisation of course but near enough for government work.
