Agree with you. That was the original Minsk agreement. But, the war changed things. After thousands losing their lives and having their economy placed at a disadvantage for many years to come, the situation changed. The “de-nazification” is no longer a peripheral demand. They will want territorial concessions - will they get them or not, that’s a separate question.

Economically and politically, for the foreseeable future, Russia will turn towards Asia. Btw, had they been unable to keep NATO from moving all the way up their colon - China (and India) would never have any respect for them. Yet another reason not to “blink”.
