From where the photo - remember the first Compaq's which was the reason that prompted me to convince OPCO to buy "Tadiran" lithium batteries division which was relative small in 1989 to be used in portable /laptop computers.

The batteries needed conversion from military to consumer use to lower price, and paving the way for Li-Ion

The idea was to insert 3 battery cells in a slot behind the computer screen and by this gaining space and less weight with plenty of surface to the ions to travel.

One remark I will not forget was - "Haim was a consultant to our company - now being in NYC he wants command of one of our divisions?" - so typically Israeli - pure envy

Unfortunate "Tadiran" representative EVP in a meeting at OPCO in NYC wanted more - to sell also a piece of "Tadiran" which I was against and OPCO not too excited, see the letter of intend at slideshare.net
