That's the big worry. I just heard a meteorologist opining that the temperature range expected over the next week lessens the risk of floods across southern Manitoba. (For those who doesn't know, southern Manitoba is an old lake bed which is VERY flat -- the total vertical for the Winnipeg marathon is said to be 6 inches -- so very prone to flooding.)

Apparently the snow is coming down in Winnipeg right now at between 1-2 cm per hour.
