When I fly down to Puerto Rico, that island marks their freeway with tenth kilometers posts which seem to fly by at speedy velocities when the road traffic is not thick. From the airport to where my boat is moored is about 50 miles so I see lots of these decimal kilometers readings. I know now to get off the 18 at the exit just before 23 KMs to avoid the toll booth following, then a route around to another place to get back on. It gives a nice change in the driving, lots of vegetation but even the back roads have decimal kilometers. I guess for emergency locations.

Yes my old eyes missed that subtle little period at first reading. But when I checked back later there it was in living color.
