If they were smart they would be negotiating in earnest while they have an upper hand in those areas.

...I agree....they can have the Donbas and then just claim that's all they ever wanted........just end this madness.

Such a waste, all the troops dying needlessly for their Stalin wannabe.

....well even Uncle Vlad doesn't measure up to Uncle Joe......Stalin (Man of Steel) had no restraint/constraint whatsoever.....Even Putin (Man of Forked Tongue) can't get away with millions lost as cannon fodder...........although that so called "feint" was somewhat along those lines.

Also sad that none of this would be happening if Trump were President.
He would have probably flown to Kyiv before day one and invited Putin there to “make a deal”.

.....I do believe that..........I have so many issues with Trump....but think he could have cut a deal.....at the very least, he could in the mean time have armed Ukraine to the teeth (anti tank / anti plane / anti personnel) in time to explain to Vlad........a trained Ukrainian sniper behind every tree....3 anti armor missiles for evey Russian tank......enough artillery to negate mass Russian artillery barrages..........a viable ground to air missile system to deny Russia freedom in the air..................and let Vlad and his "'Generals" stew over that first
