Why are these radical leftists so addicted to using their right of free of speech to suppress ours? It's called "Radical Perspectivism." Fancy words that convey the notion that dissent from certain views and policies about life are simply not allowed. IOW we deplorables are not allowed to hold an alternative pov from that of the woke left. Leftists didn't oppose the Canadian trucker's protest...............leftists love protest as long as it promotes their pov. Leftists attacked the truckers for dissenting from Woke sentiments. In their world, that is not allowed. Why is it not allowed? Because leftists operate from a position that is called "totalizing category" or categorization. For example............leftists never talk about Constitutional rights, or American rights, they only talk about "Human Rights." "Human Rights" are a "totalizing category." With this kind of system, there is no basis for dissent without being called anti-human. And then there are "women's rights." You cannot disagree or even discuss women's rights if the discussion doesn't revolve around a leftist pov. If you try you know what you'll be called...........you'll be called a misogynist.......anti-woman. You can't dissent from leftist's pre-determined minority rights without being labeled anti-minority or racist. You can't dissent from LGBTQ rights without being a homophobe............and so on, and so on. Woke leftism is built on totalizing categories from which there is no recognized and legitimate dissent. Anyone who dissents from the norms of leftist liberalism is by definition a racist, sexist, homophobe etc. Leftists shut down debate, and for liberals, any dissent is offensive and abusive. That is the definition of Radical Perspectivism, and Elon Musk threatens the neoliberal leftist's totalizing categorizing agenda. The old Industrial society framework is collapsing under the new social order. The legacy media has controlled information for decade, but we've entered a new paradigm. Now, the Network Society is more and more controlling information in which the legacy media simply cannot compete. Of course the old legacy media had a monopoly on what we could see and hear. But in the future of 'news' there are millions of content creators who are able to communicate their own perspectives on what we are able to see and hear via the Network Society. Just like emails and texting bypass the post office, the legacy media can no longer define for you what is legitimate opinion or legitimate news any more than the PO can define what is or is not legitimate mail. The new Network Society evolution via the internet, and Elon Musk's attempts to save freedom of speech via that same medium has the left in a full blown panic. That is why Reich is freaking out. He knows, and the entire radical leftist cabal knows there is nothing they can do to stop what is happening.
