I read the full article and while he doesn't provide any technical details, he claims costs grow exponentially with number of users. That would be true with a point to point communication model, but a publish/subscribe broadcast model has costs that grow approximately linearly with number of users.

To me, it also brings up some other, more disturbing questions.....
Why is the DOJ/US gov't getting involved....investigations into Musk's other business dealings?
Why does a major investment group, Vanguard, feel the need to block him by purchasing a larger interest....using whose money?
