I have seen a multitude of eye doctors over the years and go back every six months. What took out my right eye was an oxymoron -- low tension glaucoma, an oxymoron because glaucoma is high pressure. It turns out glaucoma is poorly understood, and low tension glaucoma is pretty well a mystery.

(One observation from all those eye doctor appointments -- I have had several hundred appointments over 30 years during which I shared waiting rooms with thousands of patients, but I was literally the only one of all those people to have ridden a bike to the appointment.)

We have finally warmed up in Vancouver but today we are paying the price with heavy rain and wind, lots of ferry cancellations and ferry outages. Meanwhile swathes of northern BC share your plight. The usual precipitation this time of year has again not shown up; they are even getting wildfires when the ground would normally be covered with snow.
