We all have family history. Living in the past is foolish as it can't be replayed. The future is where we're going. It's a good idea to improve the future. My grandchildren should not fight each other, or themselves,, to settle ancestral scores.

Too many people seem to think Stalin, Lenin and co are still in charge . Zbigniew got this going, McCain, Bolton, Graham and many others have wanted war and have got it.

Biden keeps blathering that he does NOT want WWIII. But he started it and has got it. Washington is a whisker away ftom nuclear obliteration. They got worked up about the 6 January mostly peaceful protest about the stolen election.

It's richly ironic that stealing the election looks likely to lead directly to the obliteration of Washington, and a lot more besides. 6 Jan will pale in comparison.

If Donald Trump remained president, I doubt the Ukraine invasion would have been necessary and MAD would not be about to go full scale deflection.

Nancy, AOC and co lost their minds, and Ashli was murdered (but she was white and her murderer had great colour, so that was good sport, aok).

There would even be some who would have to think for a while whether it would be a bad thing if Washington vanished. It would be poetic justice for Ashli and those thinking Washington is run by coup and robbery of USA workers.

I prefer honest elections, low tax, few rules, free enterprise, protection of private and public property, including borders.

Re << net emotional impact of this board is a negative for me >>

… is that true for you re all SI Boards?

This Board, to me, is a re-reflection / re-expression of a particular slice of the world.

Oh, and yes, a neighborhood cafe of a village.

As to positive / negative energy, I am good with the Board’s aggregate feel. Of course, I like to think I am good with quite a wide spectrum of feels, so I am not surprised by my take of the feel here. I tend to be flexible on many issues. Listen but do not necessarily comment.
