My understanding is that this is because of a backup in a main hub somewhere and that the rail companies are sending equipment to fix, might be a week. That's what I'm told. I have moderate faith that this is correct information but don't even know which hub or if trains have hubs.

I don't think it's a nefarious government action. Hard to tell anymore, sad that this possibility springs to mind first.
