Ah yes, the dreaded Lucas wiring. I went through a British classic car phase where I restored them.
I fought modern cars for a while but now like OBD better. You don't have to mess with them as much and the scanners work pretty well. You were constantly changing plugs, gapping points, setting dwell, adjusting/rebuilding carbs before. Now you wait years for something to break, scan it, replace it and your done for a few more years.
Agree that everything was easier to get to on the old ones though. I could fit 3-4 extra suitcases around the engine in my old charger if I had needed to.
