The Russians didn't seize all of Georgia back in 2008.

As for Ukraine, it would be easy for the Ukrainians to hold out in the Carpathians and for the west to resupply them there. And since this whole problem has been the west fishing in troubled waters, I believe the west would send weapons etc.

I believe that the Russians will follow the Georgian model and not the ones you have provided. Course, only time will tell which one of us is right.

I have read both Caesar's Gallic Wars as well as Thucydides though it's been about 50 years. So many books on war, so little time to re-read them all.

What's really interesting about Alesha is the double lines the Romans had to put up. Another brilliant victory requiring double lines was Vicksburg.
