Not only is the casual use of face masks useless in controlling virus infections, they have caused immense damage to our social structures, in particular children at school. Wearing a mask for prolonged periods is unhealthy. This will do for starters. The mask mandates were one of the most stupid things mankind has ever done. The reason for the mandates were purely political, that to instil control, both visibly and psychologically.
