Ron Dior writes: Any idea why this stock has been so weak the last few days? Are earnings supposed to be short? Any thoughts? Everyone who follows APCC regularly and who expects the earnings to be good has already committed as much as they can to acquiring the stock. The folks who only pay attention once in a while bought last week in case earnings leaked early and they missed the bargain. The only folks left are those who either have to sell because they need the money to buy other things and those who daytrade the stock. All things considered, it's about where it should be.

Human nature as it expresses itself in the market dictates that people will sell if nervous or uncertain, therefore a stock like Apcc that has been relatively quiet on the news department after a pretty good runup from 15 earlier leaves many investor nervous in light of Asia etc. To compound that, Apcc has relatively few shares and lends itself to manipulation by the pros who are trying to accumulate it. Hence , they dropped the price by sacrificing a few shares in hopes that they could get nervous nellies to sell on the cheap... The real action starts tomorrow as more and more funds will notice that this stock is about to become a billion dollar baby in the next year. I look for a breakout to the mid 30s as we anticipate about $1.60 next 12 months min and a p.e. of 25+. We will also probably see a stock split to get more shares out. They obviously dont need to sell anymore they have an excellent cash and reserve position. This is an exceptional position. gil
