intel lovers - tomorrow may be a rough day. with the japanese announcement and selloff in nasdaq market today (led by semi-conductors), all signs point to a lukewarm to negative outlook by amat. amat may find a way to report consensus earnings but it's message will probably not fare well. think about lightening up on semi-conductors if you agree with my opinion and load back up after whatever negative over reaction on wednesday. what do people think of amd? also, there is a great news/editorial column called The Main Street Journal at youdecide.com. it is essentially a poll and newsletter based on public opinion written by the on-line public. i mention this only because they also ask what people would like to discuss the following week, and this week, they have suggested the on-line public's perception of the stock market and its direction. if enough people ask for that topic, i believe that the writers (who are very good!) will write on the subject. i know that most of you like myself participate on several threads and it's hard to determine what your individual bullishness/bearishness is and which of the stocks that you follow are your favorites. stop by the site and vote for the above topic - hopefully, i'll see your comments (and your stock picks) when the story gets published.
