Here is an abstract on a good one from 1991: Postoperative wound infections and surgical face masks: a controlled study T G Tunevall 1 Affiliations expand PMID: 1853618 DOI: 10.1007/BF01658736 Abstract It has never been shown that wearing surgical face masks decreases postoperative wound infections. On the contrary, a 50% decrease has been reported after omitting face masks. The present study was designed to reveal any 30% or greater difference in general surgery wound infection rates by using face masks or not. During 115 weeks, a total of 3,088 patients were included in the study. Weeks were denoted as "masked" or "unmasked" according to a random list. After 1,537 operations performed with face masks, 73 (4.7%) wound infections were recorded and, after 1,551 operations performed without face masks, 55 (3.5%) infections occurred. This difference was not statistically significant (p greater than 0.05) and the bacterial species cultured from the wound infections did not differ in any way, which would have supported the fact that the numerical difference was a statistically "missed" difference. These results indicated that the use of face masks might be reconsidered. Masks may be used to protect the operating team from drops of infected blood and from airborne infections, but have not been proven to protect the patient operated by a healthy operating team.

People don't normally walk around in public with their entrails hanging out though. Anyone can make a mistake, Anyone can make a blunder. Like most people I have been mistaken and hopefully learned to recognise my mistakes. Real survivors in life recognise their mistakes, make adjustments, and move on. Fools double down out to spite themselves. Society today has been conditioned not to question the so called "truth" as dictated by the corporatocracy. Sad to say, but obvious if you bother to look. If it isn't approved by the Algos on Google Search, then it's not "science" seemingly. Unfortunately all "*Scientific Consensus*" usually means these days is opinion that is bought and paid for by the corporatocracy. The corporatocracy that has also bought over both your and my government, lock stock and barrel. The corporatocracy like the "Asian Model" as these fine people, for whatever reasons, are more apt to do what they are told by authority. Thus, the very obvious dictate is to change everyone to the preferred model. It's hidden in plain sight, and a very bad move imho, as it's a characteristic that can be (an is) exploited by evil. The face masks were, and still are, part of the big plan to get us all to conform exactly to what the corporatocracy has planned for us. Our government are just puppets that dance to the tune they are ordered to dance to. Sting said it right. They are going to watch every move you make, every breath you take. I know it, and you know it. It is a matter to realising what you already know, and acting upon it. The fuking control freak loonies have further plans too. Total biometric control. It's way beyond the time to get off the total surveillance bus, as real evil controls it. Let the people be. Finally a breath of fresh air! We need to make the best of it while it lasts. as probably will not be for long.
