Re <<The missile was developed as a replacement for the ICBM R-36M2 (NATO Reporting Name SS-18 Satan). It is expected to be effective in destroying enemy strategic targets around the globe with kinetic impact energy and without the use of the nuclear warhead.>>

... which means it shall be used first, straight up and then down, to set an example.

The traditional approach of better bombs (i.e. more kaboom in smaller pack) married to better delivery vehicles (highly mobile platform, less setup time, faster and longer delivery, more accurate, carrying more packages) should make the next WW a fast one, per use inventory or lose inventory, Hail Mary.

In the lead up to such a scenario, any domain caught with hosting military bases of others, and any nation-states allied with the enemy become the first-go-bomb-legitimate-targets unless such are able to independently defend themselves without the false-security of alliance structuring.

The Ukraine episode might highlight the point soon enough unless the conflict temperatures down, and soonest.

What the littler states fail to grasp is that as when and if they are obliterated, there would be only a moment of silence to mark the occasion and the world moves on, because 'needs' trump 'wishes' every time, and all get bum-rushed into the peace negotiation conference room, minus one or two minor but exemplary states.

Suspect this is why the narrative gaming matters, that to legitimise what happens next, as opposed to justify what happened already.

I have this strange premonition that we are looking at a full dress rehearsal of some show that is still down the road, say 2026 - 2032.

Let us see how Poland taunts the bear, and how close it marches to red line.

I am beginning to understand the myths surrounding tanks-encyclopedia.com and the legends en.wikipedia.org at the core of militaries used the horse cavalry to charge rumbling tanks in the old days, failing to grasp that the times changing

Oh disappointment. Sarmat is just a rocket for lobbing sold objects at stuff, using kinetic energy to do damage.

I was hoping for umpteen megatons on multiple warheads, which is much much more persuasive than throwing stones. But I suppose they still have those too.
