I don't have a AAPL phone. I have a Galaxy S21 that I up graded only for the better camera. I can't see a phone getting a better camera that would make me want to upgrade. The rest of the phone is no different that a 10 year old one.

The iPhones my kids use often have the batteries quit after 4-years. They buy 2-year old phones and use them for 2-years, so there might be an automatic replacement cycle of 4-years on i-Phones.

The question is, how many people will be willing to stretch out their trade-in cycle? There really haven't been too many innovations on the i-Phone the past few iterations. It's been basically camera improvements and 5g, which few seem to be adopting yet.
