Zooniverse runs many citizen science projects, many of which, including those focused on medicine, are trying to collect data from human judgement to improve machine learning on aspects of AI review of data. I.e., often people are far better than machines at recognizing subtle differences and important details, but people can get bored, distracted, and tired, so teaching a machine to appreciate the important subtleties could be a good thing.
